I am not very religious but I have heard about Noah and his Ark. Now looking back at the fable or story I wonder did Noah have a hidden agenda? Was Noah a fly tyer? With two of every animal one could have quite the diverse fly tying shop. If one were going to the international fly tying symposium in Somerset NJ you would surely stop by Noah booth.
I am sure if Noah did have a booth two of every animal that would still not be good enough for some. Flytiers are a sick bunch what can I say allot of good people with the good OCD. Having the last two Canadian Goats on earth would not be good enough if the tips on the Canadian Goat hair were broken.
Recently I purchased a silver fox hide on ebay from a trapper in the mid west. It cost me $70 fucking bucks because it was supposedly a "winter grade" hide...
However when I received the hide it did not look like the image above. The hair was too short and the foxes leggs were not included with the hide and I ended up returning the hide. Instead I purchased some Canadian goat with broken tips. I bought some white and black haired CG when I told my friend I got some black CG he said Canadian Goat is good but you really a need black bear cub hide.
